My grandfather's slide collection allowed me to trace the choreography of the image over the years. Through my personal and family photographs, I seek to identify traits of the medium of dance, which is dynamic in space, inside the two-dimensional and still photo. The images seem to express a beat and a breath, the movement of a body. With that in mind I see the photographs as an expression to subjective being of an organic and historical body, and in fact an analogy to the decay and deterioration of the body. It is a body which is also an anti-body. A physical presence as well as a reverberating presence.
