As I look at the world, it seems to me that the dystopian future that has been portrayed in literary and cinematic works for decades, is already here. In the final project I sought to try and convey this feeling and present the dark reality that I see before me.
I address the implications of the dystopian world – the mechanical, rigid and drab life – through unconventional photographs of modern architecture. My premise is that architecture best represents the society we live in.
The current project shifts in the space between foreign and familiar, expropriating the reality familiar to the viewer from its context, and in so doing, distills and offers a representation to the traits of the futuristic world.
