The exhibition engages with the clash between territory and questions concerning the photographic medium as an appropriator and generator of truth.
I examine the connection between image and memory, and connect photographs of demolished houses of the settlement Yamit with photographs of the actual evacuation event, add images that depict a moment that may have happened or is perhaps about to happen. The images oscillate between the collective and personal space, and the actions performed on the photographs address the connection between the material and the image. The materials I use are associated with the world of construction – plaster, cement, gravel and sand. Each object has a potential to change and become a part of a wider system.
