The project looks at the relationship between an object and the memory imprinted in it, in the attempt to create an "upgraded" inheritance of a collection of old objects that hold a great sentimental value. Through four types of objects passed in my family from one generation to another – candlesticks, a pipe collection, a sewing box, and old jewelry – I sought to examine the possibility of passing on as an inheritance not the actual object but rather a story, emotion and an experience. I created for each object five "descendants" – the number of my siblings with whom I will share the family inheritance one day. Each object was processed and designed in a different way so as to push the material and emotional boundaries of the original items, and dust the display-case cobwebs off them.
