There is a lot of magic in the process through which a thread is transformed into a sheet and the sheet is transformed into an object. The series of bags, inspired by looms and knitting machines from different cultures and periods, looks at the relationship and the hierarchy between the tool and the product produced by it. In my work I integrated traditional techniques with an advanced industrial technique. The colorful stitching emphasizes the bag's structure and creation process. The bags' linings, made of parchment and silk, are printed with a weave pattern and serve as a tribute to the crafts created by my grandmother.
